Meeting the humpback whales underwater is a wildlife encounter like no other.

Whether its a curious baby playfully circling us, courting adults dancing together, an exhilarating heat run with 5 or more whales barreling past us or a singing male mesmerizing us with his song, it will leave you humbled.

Looking into the eye of a whale truly is medicine for the soul.

Annually, between July and November, humpback whales take part in one of the longest migrations in the animal kingdom.

They leave their feeding grounds in Antartica and head North to the warm and protected waters of Tonga and Tahiti to mate, give birth and nurse their young.

This is where we will encounter them.

I’m Magenta, life long lover of Whales, underwater photographer, mother and ocean enthusiast.

Ive have 20 years of experience working on boats, guiding marine mammal tours and over 10 years of that has been swimming with whales in Tonga and Tahiti.

I live in New Zealand, i have 3 beautiful children (who love the water as much as me) and my day job is photographing mermaids at one of the worlds most prestigious marine reserves, the poor knights islands.

It will be my absolute pleasure to facilitate this mind blowing encounter for you and to ensure your whole week runs smoothly and stress free. All you have to do is turn up!

Ill be with you for the duration of the week including in the water with you each day, making sure you are getting the most out the experience at all times. As a bonus ill have my camera with me and will be happy to share some of my images with you at the trip!

Bringing like minded souls together to swim with the humpbacks is my absolute passion. I care so deeply for the whales and am committed to making sure our swims are respectful and safe always.
